Customers
Under Laboratory → Customers you manage the practices and clinics you work for – whether they already use edonto or not.
Add a customer
- Select Add customer.
- Enter the name of the practice or clinic and, optionally, contact person, email, phone and city.
- Keep Invite to edonto selected to send the practice an email invitation (an email address is required), or clear it to only add the customer to your list.
- Select Add and invite or Add.
The status column shows On edonto (connected), Invited or Not on edonto yet.
Invite a customer to edonto
Customers who connect on edonto can send you cases online, follow them and see their prices – free of charge. On the customer page, enter the email address under edonto connection and select Send invitation (or Send again). The invitation is valid for 30 days.
The practice opens the link, logs in or creates an account, sets up its practice if necessary and selects Connect. Afterwards the customer is shown as On edonto.
Customer data
Select a customer to open its page. Under Customer data you maintain name, your customer number, contact, tax ID, address and internal notes (only visible to your laboratory). Select Save at the bottom.
Prices & billing
- Customer group – see below.
- Price list – a special price list for this customer.
- Billing cycle – per case, on delivery, weekly, every two weeks or monthly – see Invoices.
- Payment terms (days).
Empty fields are inherited from the customer group or from your defaults (standard prices, per case on delivery, 30 days). The box Conditions shows the values that apply. Prices for this customer lists the resulting prices.
Customer groups
Groups give several customers the same price list and billing terms, e.g. partner practices or clinic chains. Open Customer groups on the customer list, select New group, enter name, price list, billing cycle and payment terms, and assign customers to the group on their customer pages.
Deactivate or delete
Deactivate keeps the customer and its history but prevents new cases. Delete customer removes it from your list.
